Key Roles
In 2012 I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, after completing a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2010 from the University of Saskatchewan.
Since then I have been employed by Chinook’s Edge School Division, teaching 9-12 English and Social Studies at Hugh Sutherland School in Carstairs, Alberta, before transferring to teach grade 7 English at Innisfail Middle School in the 2021-22 school year. In 2023-24 I am excited to move into the role of Vice-Principal, giving me the opportunity to work with all the students and families at IMS.
My husband and I are raising our two young children here in Innisfail and are so proud to call this community home. We love spending as much time outside as possible, taking advantage of the trail system, parks, and our amazing Alberta wilderness as often as we can.
I am passionate about education and literacy, and love supporting young learners and lifelong readers here in my home community.
